This cape-style house was where Marc Chagall called home. This house is three bedrooms and one bathroom. In the front of the house is a porch and in the back there is a detached two car garage. The home is conveniently located near High Falls, the Mohonk preserve, and downtown New Paltz. This house was featured in a 2011 New York Times on Chagall and continues to be of historic interest. Marc Chagall moved here with his lover, Virginia Haggard who wrote a book about their years up in this mountain hamlet. She said, "Marc felt at peace in High Falls." This period of his art has been observed to be more vibrant and lively. He would paint bouquets picked from the house's very own garden, as well as images of sunbeams and lovers. This house is ready to be an inspiration to the next person who calls it home.
